The only fee
To list a campaign on BitBackMe you pay $20 AUD once. That is it from us.
The fee is paid through Square when you create the campaign. It helps cover hosting and running costs, and it keeps spam and tyre-kickers off the site.
It is not a platform cut. It is not a success fee. It does not come out of anyone’s Bitcoin.
What we do not charge
- No percentage of donations.
- No fee per donation.
- No fee when you hit your goal.
- No monthly subscription to keep a campaign live.
Other platforms often take a few percent of every gift, plus card fees. BitBackMe cannot take a cut of the donation because the donation never lands with us. It goes from the donor’s Bitcoin wallet to the address on your page.
What you may still pay, not to us
- Square may show its own processing on the $20 review payment. That is Square, not a BitBackMe percentage.
- Bitcoin network (miner) fees are set by the network and by the wallet you use. We do not add one.
Optional support
BitBackMe runs on the review fee and on voluntary donations. If your campaign works, we may ask you to send a small gift to help keep the lights on. Two to three percent of the goal is common on other sites. That is a request, not a bill. Give what you think is fair, or nothing.
Refunds
Refunds of the review fee work like this. We keep the $20 when we refuse or remove a campaign because it breaks the rules — including spam and campaigns created to farm backlinks, SEO or traffic. We will usually refund the $20 if a charity, club or community project submits by mistake, or if we refuse a genuine personal campaign before it goes live for a reason that is not a breach of the rules. We may also refund it where Australian Consumer Law requires it. Email support@bitbackme.com with the campaign link or the email used to pay. Bitcoin sent to a campaign address cannot be refunded by us — we never received it
